A Welcome Letter from Our Founders

When we started this company in 1986 we had one goal in mind, to build a great company where we and our dedicated employees could be proud of working. Our goal is to provide the best customer service possible because they are the most important part of our winning formula. We also feel it is important to contribute to our community by sponsoring local children’s sports teams and making donations to schools and homeless shelters. 

When we opened Bagel Buffet, we were two kids barely in our twenties with an entrepreneurial spirit and very limited funds.  Our philosophy was that if we provided high quality products and outstanding service our business would build.  The first very important task was to develop a delicious bagel, through much trial and error we created the bagel you see today.   This formula and the determination of our dedicated staff really created massive growth.   In April 1993 we opened the second Bagel Buffet in Hackensack.  Using our great service and quality philosophy both stores had grown to the point where we needed to expand our production facility.  In 1999 we expanded the size of our Secaucus store from 1500 to 5000 square feet to do just that.

So, you can expect Bagel Buffet to always be a part of the hottest new breakfast and lunch trends.  With the help of our hard-working employees, we have earned an outstanding reputation for the best breakfast and lunch in our area.
